Exclusive: Additional names have joined the semi-staged world premiere concert of Jo – The Little Women Musical.

Based on Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel, the new musical reimagines Little Women through the eyes of Jo March – a fiercely creative young writer whose grief and ambition shape one of literature’s most enduring coming-of-age stories. The concert will feature a 26-piece orchestra performing Dan Redfeld’s sweeping score, with book and lyrics by Christina Harding and John Gabriel Koladziej.

Taking place next year, the event will feature Grammy nominee Christine Allado and two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole, alongside Kelly Mathieson, Eleanor Grant, Sophie Pollono and Tobias Turley.

Announced today, they’ll be joined by Julian Ovenden as Father, Chris Mann as Professor Bhaer, Miyuki Miyagi as Sallie Gardner and Yazdan Qafouri as Fred Vaughn.

Further casting is to be revealed.

The production is directed and choreographed by JoAnn M Hunter, whose credits include School of Rock and Bad Cinderella. It follows the global release of the Jo studio album earlier this year, recorded at Abbey Road Studios and produced by five-time Grammy nominee and three-time Emmy winner Nigel Wright alongside Redfeld.

The concert will take place at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on Sunday 25 January 2026.
