Hamilton extends West End run as it introduces UK show’s first ever relaxed performance

The West End production of Hamilton has announced a new extension as it reveals plans for a relaxed performance.


With a book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the piece is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton. It is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.


Today, Go Live Theatre revealed the show will have its first ever relaxed performance on 29 April at 6.30pm, intended for audiences with learning difficulties, special educational needs, and/or disabilities. There will be subtle changes to the sound and lighting.


Chief executive of Go Live Theatre, Sita McIntosh said: “It is a huge honour and privilege to collaborate with Cameron Mackintosh Ltd and Jeffrey Seller to stage the first ever relaxed performance of Hamilton in the UK. We look forward to welcoming over 1,500 people to what promises to be a very special and momentous occasion.”


Leading the show are Alex Sawyer as Alexander Hamilton, with Jay Perry as Aaron Burr, Emily-Mae as Angelica Schuyler, Bente Mulan as Eliza Hamilton, Jonathan Andrew Hume as George Washington, Yeukayi Ushe as Marquis De Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson and Jasmine Jia Yung Shen as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds, with Jordan Castle as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, Jordan Benjamin as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton and Daniel Boys as King George III.



At certain performances, the role of Alexander Hamilton will be played by Adam J Bernard. The ensemble features Yuki Abe, Zera Aitken, Joshua Clemetson, Luca Dinardo, Olivia Kate Holding, Sergi Ibanez, Lily Laight, Aidan Nightingale, Tim Nutt, Joshian Angelo Omaña, Kiran Patel, Liam Raven, Aharon Rayner, Daisy Ward, Natasha Wilde, Richard Appiah-Sarpong, Turrell Barrett-Wallace, Roxanne Couch, Nicola Espallardo, Manaia Glassey-Ohlson, Jack Harrison-Cooper, Nicolais-Andre Kerry, Ella Kora and Paulo Teixeira.


Hamilton features scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg and hair and wig design by Charles G LaPointe.


The show will be booking until 13 March 2027. The extension is on sale now.
