The full company for the 2026 UK tour of 2:22 – A Ghost Story has been revealed.

James Bye will play Sam, with Natalie Casey as Lauren, Gary Lucy as Ben and Shvorne Marks as Jenny. Marks, who is currently appearing as Lauren on the ongoing tour, takes on a new role when the production returns next year.

The tour, directed by Matthew Dunster and Gabriel Vega Weissman and written by Danny Robins, opens at Northampton’s Royal and Derngate on 8 January and runs through to June. It follows the show’s earlier nationwide tours in 2023, 2024 and 2025 and includes several return visits as well as stops in new locations.

2:22 – A Ghost Story has run for three years in the West End across seven seasons, beginning at the Noël Coward Theatre in 2021 before transferring to the Gielgud, Criterion, Lyric and Apollo. It has since been staged in replica productions around the world and has been seen by more than a million people.

The play’s West End casts have included Lily Allen, Julia Chan, Hadley Fraser and Jake Wood in its first run, followed by seasons led by Stephanie Beatriz, James Buckley, Elliot Cowan, Giovanna Fletcher, Tom Felton, Mandip Gill, Sam Swainsbury, Beatriz Romilly, Laura Whitmore, Matt Willis, Felix Scott, Tamsin Carroll, Cheryl, Scott Karim, Louise Ford, Sophia Bush, Ricky Champ, Clifford Samuel, Jamie Winstone, Frankie Bridge, Donna Air, Stacey Dooley, Joe McFadden and others.

Its earlier tours have featured Joe Absolom, Charlene Boyd, Nathaniel Curtis, Louisa Lytton, Vera Chok, Jay McGuiness, George Rainsford, Fiona Wade, Kevin Clifton, Grant Kilburn and further casts in Dublin and on later UK legs.

Robins’ play centres on Jenny, who believes her home is haunted, and her husband Sam, who does not share her view. When they host friends Lauren and Ben for dinner, their differing approaches to belief and scepticism come to the fore as events unfold around the nightly moment of 2:22.

The production’s creative team includes set designer Anna Fleischle, costume designer Cindy Lin, lighting designer Lucy Carter, sound designer Ian Dickinson for Autograph Sound and illusion designer Chris Fisher. It is produced by Tristan Baker and Charlie Parsons for Runaway Entertainment, Isobel David and Kater Gordon. Casting is by Matilda James and Annelie Powell.
